去年のカブトムシの卵から、またもや1匹、孵化してきてくれました。これで2匹めです。1匹目はオスでしたが、今回はメスでした。

３匹目はまたオスです。これは23時頃、生まれたてホヤホヤのときの様子です。手持ちのスマートフォンで撮影しました。

オス二匹は仲良しのようです。

これでもうカブトムシの孵化も3年め、そろそろブリーダーを名乗っても良いのでは？なんて話をしています。

孵化させるコツは、

・飼育容器は軒下や、玄関など、適度に雨を避けた場所に置くこと

・乾燥する場合は適宜霧吹きで湿らせる

適度な湿気が大事ということですね。

また、反省点としては、幼虫1匹ずつに対して十分なスペースと餌が確保できなかったこと。

幼虫1匹に対して大きいペットボトル一本分くらいのマットがあると良いのですが、うちはたくさんの幼虫を狭い容器に入れて育ててしまいました。

写真を見て頂けるとお分かりかと思いますが、オスのカブトムシ、ツノが小さいです。これは幼虫期に十分な餌が得られなかったためです。

これはかわいそうなので、幼虫1匹に対し、十分なスペースを確保してあげましょう。
